HANDICARE has been running India’s first single-point knowledge resource on disability. The Disability Helpline provides information that is useful, inspirational and empowering.
It is a service that has proved to be a boon for all those people in distant places who want to stand on their feet but desperately need information, proper guidance and advice.
The Disability Helpline aims to reach out to every disabled person in India – especially when they need to know what their rights are, or when their rights are being violated.
Disability Helpline is well supported by HANDIRESOURCE- Disability Information cum Resource & Research Centre, an initiative of HANDICARE.

Individuals with disabilities or others on their behalf can call this Helpline any time for a wide range of problems and questions.
When to call?
The topics that are dealt with by the Helpline include-
- Problems posed by various Government/Bureaucratic hassles and Disability Certificate issues.
- Information about various State and Central Government schemes, grants and pension schemes.
